I picked Western because of Huxley and its reputation of being pro-Peace Corps along with Bellingham's proximity to numerous ski areas.

Biography

About me

I enjoy snowboarding in the winter, and hiking and camping in the summer, spring, and fall. I’m also an avid biker and am in the process of building my own road bike. On Sundays, I like to volunteer at the Outback Farm. My favorite snowboarding run is Pan Face off the top of Panorama Dome at the Mt Baker Ski area. This run offers the best view of all the peaks, including Mt. Baker and Shuksan.

Career plans

I see myself working for an international development group such as the World Bank or The Peace Corps.

Why I chose Western

I picked Western because of Huxley and its reputation of being pro-Peace Corps along with Bellingham's proximity to numerous ski areas.

My favorite professor(s)

John Rybczyk is my favorite Huxley professor because he’s so enthusiastic when he teaches.

My favorite Huxley class/internship/project

My Favorite Huxley class thus far has been ENVS 202 - ENVS and Sustainability because it made me make profound changes in the way I live my life as far as taking the extra step to conserve resources, use what I have in an efficient manner, and know what I’m putting in my body when I buy something from a supermarket.
