About

Wendy teaches courses in environmental education, interpretation, curriculum, sustainability, leadership, nature literature, natural history, ecotourism, wilderness education and outdoor education. Her teaching incorporates service learning, experiential education and outdoor field work.  She has taught ecotourism, sustainable developement, nature literature and migration studies courses with study abroad programs in Mexico, England, Spain, Costa Rica, Peru and Greece. She also works as a consultant for government agencies in interpretive writing and planning and with schools to develop field-based environmental education programs. She has published 2 books, Washington National Forests, and Recreation Guide to Washington National Forests and essays, book chapters and environmental education curricula.
