  • Jalpan de Serra (Route of flavor), Tonatico, Rancho Suelo Vivo, Living Soil Ranch, Mission of Santiago de Jalpan (one of five UNESCO-designated local temples)

Some spring-quarter meetings with travel June 13-21 (between spring and summer quarters)

Meets (under advisement) WWU upper division electives and College of the Environment experiential requirement, as well as general university requirements.

Travel: Querétaro (Querétaro state), altiplano at an elevation of 1,860 meters above sea level, 210 km northwest of Mexico City.

Based in Querétaro, the program studies culture and sustainability challenges. Also: policy, programs, and effects on business and the environment, Mexican politico-economic history, land reform, community-led solutions and planning.

Students can use spring-quarter financial aid and, also, scholarships are available.
