We believe that making Sustainability Pathways accessible as a fellowship program invests in the success of our youth and the long term sustainability of our communities. Your donation to the Sustainability Pathways Program Fund supports all aspects of the fellowships from providing housing to supporting practicum placements and program partners.

Become a Fellow
Who Should Apply?
Students of all departments and majors are encouraged to apply. Sustainability is interdisciplinary and participation from diverse academic backgrounds enables dynamic systems thinking. Please consult with your advisor to see how the Sustainability Planning Studio fits in your degree path.
Over 38 different majors have gone through the undergraduate program from 2020-2025.
Undergraduate Fellowship Application Process
Applications open
Oct. 6 - Nov. 24, 2025
2026 program dates:
June 16 - Aug. 28, 2026
- Review: Review position descriptions and reflect on which professional skills you’d like to develop. Attend the open house in the fall to learn more.
- Apply: Complete online applications by late fall. Candidates will be selected for interviews based on application responses.
- Prepare: If selected, review questions and prepare responses prior to interview.
- Interview: Complete interview on the designated date and time (in early winter)
- Meet: If selected, attend virtual info session in early spring to discuss housing and logistics.
- Register: Register for the Sustainability Planning Studio before the end of spring quarter. Complete internship agreement if registering for internship credits.
- Attend: Spend the summer in the Methow valley as a Sustainability Pathways Fellow. Starting in mid June, ending late August.
