Samantha Zee

Instructor

About

Samantha grew up in Hilo, on the island of Hawai'i — a horticulturally centered locale surrounded by diverse ecosystems and cultures. Influenced by the impressive careers of both parents, Samantha ventured into the world of health promotion rooted in sustainable food access. Her passion for health started with medicine and has since shifted to focus on community-level initiatives. While living in Hawai'i, Samantha worked for The Food Basket, Hawai'i Island's Food Bank, promoting healthy food access efforts. She now resides in South Whatcom County and works full-time at Opportunity Council, serves on the Board of Directors for the Ferndale Food Bank, and teaches UEPP497D in the Spring quarter at WWU.
