About
I am a visiting assistant professor in Environmental Sciences who specializes in plant population biology. My research uses a combination of experimental approaches, field collected data, and modeling to show how invasive and encroaching plant fitness (or alternatively, the effect of invasive plants on native plants) shifts in the face of changing climates and under varying management conditions. My teaching interests center broadly around ecology, population biology, plant biology, evolution, and biostatistics. More than anything, I find it rewarding to teach students how to confidently ask questions. Asking questions is the root of becoming a good scientist and an informed citizen of the world.
